Picture of the Month in Artist & Illustrators Magazine

I was really happy to find that my latest painting to my portfolio on the A&I website, has been their pic of the month, and been printed nice and big in the magazine! This magazine is a popular one and lots of artists subscribe, it is also available in many newsagents across the country. woohoo!

All drawn out now and cleaned up ready to paint! The characters are quite small in the picture because I drew the pub from a further viewpoint than I normally work from.

More sleepy times on the train

I went up to London for a sketching day today...and saw more sleepy times on the train, on the way up and on the way back. Easy to sketch sleepy people though!

I have been having fun drawing a birthday present today for a friend. Cant show it all yet, but here is a little detail...

Rough sketch of the Elly

I chose a different angle to look at the Elly, viewing it from Castle Banks, there is a little green opposite. Not sure if this will work, yet, and I might try this one without a border.
Now I need to decide who can go to the pub!

Market Street Life - Cobblers, Lewes

It's the hour before dawn, and something is going on at Cobblers!
Just finished this night time view of Lewes. Off to the framers I go!

First washes on Cobblers

Here is today's progress, and the current set up in my daughter's bedroom. I got a fab light for Christmas, which means I could carry on painting and didn't even notice as day (albeit a dark one) turned into night!
I am looking forward to getting the dark sky on, to add some mood to the picture. And, of course, lighting up a few windows!
