Brighton Flea Market...why use one colour...?

Both the buildings either side of the Flea market are very pale creamy paint, which has weathered. Watercolour is ideal for representing this; a pale watery wash covering the area can then be livened up with drops of pink, green and purple, to give it the aged look.
The two buildings now look quite dark, but by the time I have the other colours on, they will settle back and look pale again.
